Ear piercing after care
1 / leave your new piercing(s) in long enough to heal!
For Lobes: 6-8 weeks
For Helix / Flat: 3-6 months
For Conch: 6-9 months
For Forward Helix: 4-6 months
For Tragus: 3-6 months
For Rook: 6-9 months
2 / use gentle, unscented soap (or saline) to clean
Gently wash your piercings with a mild, fragrance-free soap and water twice a day. Spinning your piercing while you are cleaning it helps prevent crusties / build up.

If you have a saline solution, that works well too!
3 / keep an eye on your ears
If an ear gets sore, red, or puffy, or a hole oozes yellowish liquid, you may have an infection. If any of these doesn’t go away quickly, see a board-certified dermatologist.

4 / love her and leave her alone
The less you bother / irritate your new piercing, the faster it will heal. Try to avoid high waisted pants with your new navel piercing as it can cause a lot of rubbing and irritation.
